SVFD-EMS acquires Genesis Rescue tools

Thank you Spicewood for another great year! SVFD-EMS has acquired new Genesis Rescue tools. These are battery operated extrication tools used to free an individual from entrapment. We would like to thank Genesis for extensive training on their amazing tools. SVFD-EMS would also like to thank the commuity for enabling us to purchase state of the art tools such as these. These tools make Spicewood a safer place for everyone. 

Spicewood Emergency Medical Service Puts New

First Responder Vehicle into Service


Our hats go out to LCRA. With grant application assistance from PEC, the department received a grant to purchase a First Responder EMS Unit. With the further help of the Spicewood VFD-EMS and Burnet County  ESD No. 9, the department located and the ESD was able to purchase a 2004 F-250 for the department's use. The vehicle was put in service on March 25, 2015.

Spicewood EMT/Firefighter Gary Wall Honored by Marble Falls' Rotary Club


At its 14th Annual 9/11 Day of Remembrance Ceremony, long-time Spicewood VFD-EMS volunteer member Gary Wall was awarded the Patriot Award for his outstanding service to his community as a first responder.  Two other area first responders were similarly honored: Burnet County Sheriff Patrol Deputy Jeremy Stewart and City of Horseshoe Bay Assistant Fire Chief, Stephanie Black.  Many congratulations and thanks for his service go to Gary!

Spicewood Demolition Derby 2017 Successful Again!


Spicewood VFD-EMS Annual Destruction Derby was another success.  Plenty of enthusiasm and fun was had by all spectators, drivers and volunteers alike.  For more information on the tradition of the Derby at SVFD-EMS, go here.  Watch these pages for the announcement of the 2018 date for the 27th Annual Demolition Derby, and thanks very much to all of the attendees, drivers, volunteers and sponsors that made this year's Derby possible!

Hill Country 100 Club Honors Spicewood Volunteer



The Hill Country 100 Club honored two of our Firefighters for Volunteer of the Year in January. Curtis Raetz and Lark Camacho were honored at a banquet and an awards ceremony. They received a wooded plaque. They are BOTH a great asset to our department

Spicewood VFD-EMS is always looking for new members. To become a part of an awesome group, attend two of our business meetings, be 18 years of age and pass a background check. All meetings start at 7:30 pm, and below are our scheduled weekly meetings every month:
